the dti AND THE HIGH COMMISSION OF INDIA IN PRETORIATO HOST MEDIA BRIEFING ON THE INDIA-SOUTH AFRICA BUSINESS SUMMIT

Members of the media are invited to attend and cover the joint press briefing organised by the High Commission of India in South Africa, in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry-Government of India, the Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) and the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency (GGDA). The High Commissioner of India Her Excellency Ruchira Kamboj along with senior executives of the dti and GGDA will address the media.
The media briefing will highlight the objectives and programme of the first ever India-South Africa Business Summit (ISABS 2018) that will be held on 29-30 April 2018 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg. The event is being organised by the High Commission of India, Pretoria in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry-Government of India, the Department of Trade and Industry-South Africa, the Gauteng Growth and Development Agency-South Africa, Invest India, the Confederation of Indian Industry, and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. The Summit will be held under the theme “United by Legacy, Unified for Prosperity” and seeks to maximise the potential of the economic and commercial partnership between South Africa and India. 2018 marks a significant year in India-South Africa relations, being the 25th year of establishment of diplomatic relations; 125 years of the Pietermaritzburg train ‘incident’ and the centenary of President Nelson Mandela.
